In my book, there is no better job than being the bearer of good news. And today, I don’t just have good news for you, I have great news for you. And my prayer is that you’ll receive it into your heart.

As I mentioned last week, one of our listeners asked for help with her waning faith, to make it (her) strong all the time. So over the last few days, that’s what we’ve been doing together – opening the Word of God and letting Him speak into that reality.

Because it happens to all of us at some point. So let’s continue with the next Scripture, the next message, the next steppingstone in allowing God to strengthen your faith.

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. (NRSV)

Holding onto hope, confessing that hope, speaking it with conviction when things feel hopeless – that’s easy to say, but almost impossible to do unless you have a rock-solid reason for doing so. And right here, God’s giving you that reason. Look at it again … hold fast to the confession of your hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.

Why can you hold fast to that hope? Why can you confess that hope? Why can you do it without wavering? Because the God of promise is ever faithful. He’s faithful to wash you clean from your sin through the sacrifice of Jesus on that Cross. He’s faithful to carry you through to the end.

So in the power of the Holy Spirit I say to you, hold fast to the confession of your hope without wavering.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
