Matthew 9:27-29 As Jesus was going away from there, two blind men followed him. They said loudly, “Show kindness to us, Son of David.” Jesus went inside, and the blind men went with him. He asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to make you see again?” They answered, “Yes, Lord, we believe.” Then Jesus touched their eyes and said, “You believe that I can make you see again, so it will happen.”

So, here’s the question: is God real or not? And if you jump and say yes, He’s real, then how do you know? I mean, come on, what proof do you have? How can you possibly know that God is real?

Have you ever looked around at the beauty of this universe – the stars, the sunrise, the mountains, and thought to yourself, “I wonder if it was all just an accident?” Or when you look in the mirror, “Am I just a descendent of some primordial amoebic concoction?” You know, the slime plus time theory?

And then, all of a sudden, you sway completely to the opposite side and you say, “Well God, if you really exist – prove it!” And that’s the thing – how can we know, I mean really know?

Matthew 9:27-29 As Jesus was going away from there, two blind men followed him. They said loudly, “Show kindness to us, Son of David.” Jesus went inside, and the blind men went with him. He asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to make you see again?” They answered, “Yes, Lord, we believe.” Then Jesus touched their eyes and said, “You believe that I can make you see again, so it will happen.”

Interesting. Two blind men beg Jesus to heal them, but first He asks them, “Do you really believe I can do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they answered. And it was only then that … Then Jesus touched their eyes and said, “You believe that I can make you see again, so it will happen.”

Invariably, God doesn’t prove His existence to us. First, He waits for us to go to Him with even the most miniscule bit of faith, and then He has this habit of opening the windows of heaven and pouring Himself into our lives.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
