Download audio fileThe nagging wife is something of an unpleasant and unwelcome stereotype that many women rail against. And fair enough too. But then again, some women do nag their husbands to the detriment of their marriage.
Look, if a man says he’ll do something, he will. There’s no need to remind him about it every six months!!! I get it, we men can be extremely frustrating. How many times has a wife told her husband to do this and he never does it, or not to do that, and he does!
But here’s the risk, wives – that you start seeing your husband as your own, personal home improvement project. He’s broken. He needs fixing! And that … that’s where nagging begins. And the more you nag, the more he’ll adopt a thoroughly biblical response and ignore you. Don’t believe me?

Now, wives can throw their hands up in disgust, “That had to be written by a man!” which, by the way it was. But it’s true. Nagging won’t get her anywhere with him, because it robs him of his rest.

Yep, also written by a man – go, King Solomon, wise old fellow that he was! Jokes aside, there are some things a wife will never change in her husband (and, just quietly, vice versa). Nagging destroys marriages.
So, wives, will you love him just the way he is, with all his failures and foibles, or will you nag your marriage to death?
